Arrived in Split and found it to be a beautiful town, full of many
markets (so much CHEAP fresh food!!) that sold absolutely everything.
Walked around the town for awhile, waiting for Bek to arrive, who was
flying in from London.
Split still has a heavy Roman influence in the architecture.
Found Bek – hurray!! – and headed for the beach/pebbles.
Next
day we walked up a kewl mountain, where up the top you suddenly just
felt so relaxed. It was so peaceful and tranquil – had great views of Split. That night we headed out with some people from our hostel to a bar, but as I knew Emma (a family friend) had arrived in town, from the previous Sail Croatia cruise, I was keen to head out to the club and catch up with her. Well this club rocked!! Found Emma and met all her lovely and amazingly friendly friends! Lol Was introduced to the very cheap but extremely strong cocktails and then well…danced the night away!! Thanks Emma :) Haven’t had that much fun in a club for ages! + kudos to the semi naked podium dancing girls: I got photos to show the boys at home to make them jealous on what they were missing out on!!
Next morning I was as deaf as a doorpost! – not as bad as I was after the Brissy Living End concert (what Nate?! hahaha) – but pretty bad! Headed to our Sail Croatia boat – Omladinac (TOM), squeezed into our small-az cabin and spent the rest of the day white water rafting! It was sooo amazing, but frickin freezing! Was in the boat with Jo & the Gang and had sooo much fun – who kept crashing the boat into the trees HUH?! Hahaha – After all the feeling returned to my toes and fingers (I swear they were going to fall off!!), I throughly enjoyed the experience! The rest of the week in Croatia sailed by (haha) very lazily but quickly…
Thoughtless!
